Job Overview
This position entails maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards within a fast-paced kitchen environment. The role requires working on-site in an urban setting, handling various cleaning and food preparation tasks without needing formal education or prior experience as training is provided.
Primary Duties
- Sanitize dishwashing mats, carts, and waste disposal units effectively.
- Operate dishwashing machines for cleaning dishes, glassware, and flatware.
- Store cleaned dishes appropriately in designated areas.
- Manually wash and sanitize dishes and kitchen items as needed.
- Thoroughly clean pots, pans, and other cookware.
- Prepare and wrap food portions.
- Restock refrigerators and salad bars regularly.
- Clean and disinfect kitchen areas including work surfaces, cupboards, equipment, and appliances.
- Manage and store cleaning supplies safely.
- Receive deliveries, unpack, and organize supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage zones.
- Dispose of kitchen waste and garbage properly.
- Maintain cleanliness of floors by sweeping, mopping, washing, and polishing.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
- Work is performed in a fast-paced and physically demanding setting.
- Tasks are repetitive and require standing for long durations.
- The role involves working under pressure while maintaining accuracy.
- Up to 23 kg (50 lbs) of weight may need to be handled.
