About the Role and Location
This position is based at the Anantara Mina Al Arab Resort in Ras Al Khaimah, UAE. Anantara Hotels & Resorts is a prestigious global brand known for its luxurious settings and a guest experience deeply inspired by Thai culture, emphasizing authentic hospitality and lasting impressions. Ras Al Khaimah offers a serene mix of beach, desert, and mountainous landscapes, providing a peaceful yet adventurous environment.
Responsibilities
- Deliver beverage service aligned with Minor Hotels’ standards for quality, presentation, and hygiene, ensuring gracious and professional interaction with guests.
- Exemplify national hospitality and professionalism when engaging with customers.
- Maintain high standards of service, cleanliness, and appearance for yourself and your workspace.
- Comply with and help improve Beverage Department Standard Operating Procedures.
- Prepare the bar for operation, including stocking liquor, ice, glassware, juices, and garnishes.
- Efficiently handle drink orders, verify drink counts, and manage billing promptly.
- Craft cocktails strictly following Minor Hotels’ standard beverage manual, using standardized measurements.
- Receive and verify liquor stock deliveries, reporting any discrepancies to the Beverage Manager.
- Ensure security within the bar area at all times and only leave when properly relieved by a colleague.
- Support cleaning duties including mopping floors, disposing of bottles and cans, cleaning rails and counters, and handling melting ice.
- Carry out related duties and special assignments as requested.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Strong familiarity with cocktails, spirits, wines, beers, mixers, garnishes, and drink preparation methods.
- Excellent communication and listening skills with the ability to address customer needs professionally.
- Ability to operate point-of-sale (POS) systems, manage payments, and maintain transaction accuracy.
- Previous bartending experience preferably in luxury hotels or restaurants.
- Capability to stand for extended periods and work effectively in a busy setting.
- Outstanding memory, keen attention to detail, patience, teamwork skills, reliability, and composure under pressure.
- Proficient spoken English is essential, especially in international hospitality contexts; proficiency in additional languages is advantageous.
