Role Overview

We seek a passionate and meticulous Barista to join our team in Umluj, Saudi Arabia. This role centers on being a key contributor to our café operations by consistently delivering premium specialty coffee beverages and outstanding customer service. Candidates will thrive in a team-oriented yet fast-paced setting where dedication to quality, professionalism, and warm hospitality is paramount.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve specialty coffee drinks with accuracy and uniformity, showcasing expertise in espresso machine operation and brewing techniques.
• Provide courteous, engaging, and polished service to all patrons, anticipating and surpassing their expectations.
• Assist customers confidently by offering recommendations on menu options, ingredients, and preparation styles.
• Handle cash transactions proficiently and process payments using point-of-sale systems while maintaining precise financial documentation.
• Keep the workstation and café surroundings clean, orderly, and compliant with food safety and hygiene requirements.
• Conduct opening and closing routines including equipment setup, stock verification, and facility readiness.
• Work cooperatively with colleagues to ensure smooth café operations during both busy and quieter periods.
• Create appealing product displays and use knowledge to attract and engage customers.
• Demonstrate flexibility to adapt to shifting priorities and undertake additional responsibilities as required.
• Represent the brand values and uphold customer satisfaction standards in every guest interaction.

Qualifications and Experience

• At least two years of recent experience in Food & Beverage and/or retail sectors.
• Confirmed barista background with proven skill in preparing specialty coffees.
• Familiarity with operating espresso machines, grinders, and related coffee equipment.
• Strong cash management abilities and experience using POS technologies.
• Excellent communication skills paired with a guest-focused attitude.
• Capability to maintain high efficiency and accuracy in a demanding work environment.
• Physical ability to stand for prolonged periods and perform repetitive actions.
• Sound knowledge of food hygiene and safety protocols.
• Availability to work flexible shifts including weekends and public holidays.
• Preferred credentials include beverage service certification (Pro Serve or equivalent), specialist coffee certifications or formal barista education, luxury hospitality or premium café experience, multilingual skills especially in Arabic, proficiency in inventory handling and stock rotation, expertise in latte art and coffee presentation, and experience collaborating in multicultural teams.
