Position Overview
The Barista Executive role at Marriott International is a full-time, non-management position based in Jaipur, Rajasthan. It focuses on collaborative teamwork to deliver exceptional guest service while ensuring the staff’s professional appearance and adherence to operational standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate staff efforts to deliver seamless service and meet guest requirements.
- Monitor grooming and attire standards, addressing any shortcomings promptly.
- Perform opening and closing tasks such as setting up supplies, cleaning equipment and areas, and securing premises.
- Inspect storage spaces to maintain orderliness, cleanliness, and proper use of FIFO inventory management.
- Conduct scheduled inventory checks and requisition necessary supplies.
- Observe dining areas for guest seating availability, service quality, safety, and overall guest welfare.
- Initiate work orders for maintenance and repairs as needed.
- Support management in recruitment, training, staff scheduling, performance evaluation, counseling, discipline, and motivation.
- Act as a role model and first point of contact for fairness and compliance policy processes.
- Comply with company safety and security protocols; report incidents and complete related training.
- Maintain clean and professional uniforms and appearance; safeguard confidential company information and assets.
- Greet guests warmly, anticipate needs, assist guests with disabilities, and express genuine gratitude.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with colleagues and guests.
- Foster positive interpersonal relationships within the team, support common objectives, and respond appropriately to employee concerns.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards and propose improvements to boost organizational efficiency, productivity, safety, quality, and cost reduction.
- Perform visual inspections of tools, equipment, and machines for defects.
- Physically capable of standing, sitting, walking for extended periods, lifting and handling objects up to 50 pounds, and maneuvering in confined spaces and stairs.
- Carry out all other reasonable duties as assigned by supervisors.
Preferred Qualifications
- Completion of high school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.).
- A minimum of two years experience in related work fields.
- At least one year of supervisory experience is desirable.
- No specific licenses or certifications required.
