Position Overview

The Bar Manager role involves full-time onsite leadership of bar operations in Al Rayyan. Key duties encompass managing staff schedules, ensuring superior service quality, maintaining cleanliness and safety, controlling inventory and beverage orders, handling cash and sales reporting, complying with relevant regulations, and fostering a hospitable atmosphere.

Core Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily bar operations and maintain exceptional guest experiences.
  • Manage and schedule bar personnel effectively.
  • Supervise service quality and uphold hygienic standards.
  • Maintain a well-organized, safe bar environment.
  • Monitor and replenish beverage inventory and supplies.
  • Manage cash handling procedures and sales documentation.
  • Train, mentor, and provide performance feedback to bar staff.
  • Coordinate with kitchen and front-of-house teams to optimize service.
  • Drive promotions and upselling strategies to maximize sales.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to customer inquiries and complaints.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Strong customer service focus with conflict resolution capability.
  • Experience in food and beverage operations, including product expertise and hygiene maintenance.
  • Effective communication skills for team coordination and guest interaction.
  • Ability to train and coach staff to improve performance.
  • Expertise in sales techniques such as upselling.
  • Prior supervisory or management experience in hospitality preferred.
  • Knowledge of inventory control, cash management, and basic reporting procedures.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Fluency in English required; additional languages are a plus.
  • Hospitality or management-related certification or diploma preferred.
