About the Role

The Galmont Hotel & Spa in Galway is looking for a seasoned Bar Manager to take charge of bar operations. This key role involves leading the lively Coopers Bar & Lounge along with function bars to provide top-tier service and an exceptional guest atmosphere in a premier hotel setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations of Coopers Bar & Lounge and associated function bars to ensure efficient and smooth service delivery.
• Consistently provide exceptional guest experiences by upholding superior service and presentation standards.
• Lead, train, and inspire the bar staff team to reach outstanding performance and service goals.
• Oversee employee scheduling, rostering, and labor cost management.
• Maintain consistent quality in beverages, cocktails, and collaborate with the kitchen team to align food service.
• Monitor inventory levels, manage procurement, and control beverage-related expenses to boost profitability.
• Promote sales through creative upselling, promotions, and innovative bar offerings.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety standards, HACCP, and licensing laws.
• Handle guest complaints and feedback with professionalism and efficiency.
• Collaborate closely with senior management to meet departmental targets and key performance indicators.

Requirements

• At least three years' experience as a Bar Manager or senior supervisor in a busy hotel or high-volume bar environment.
• Strong leadership capabilities and experience managing teams.
• Extensive knowledge of beverage service, cocktails, wines, and bar operations.
• Proven skills in cost management, stock control, and budgeting.
• Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
• Willingness to work flexible schedules, including evenings and weekends.
