Role Summary

The Bar Manager will be responsible for ensuring impeccable guest service aligned with brand standards, overseeing beverage operations, managing finances, and leading the bar team to deliver exceptional hospitality. This position requires close collaboration with other departments and adherence to company policies, aiming for operational excellence and guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance guest experiences by delivering the brand promise and fostering positive interactions among guests and staff.
• Coach and develop associates in guest service skills, resolving complaints promptly and efficiently.
• Implement and monitor beverage policies ensuring compliance across the property.
• Manage beverage cost within budget, set appropriate pricing following corporate guidelines, and maintain optimal inventory levels.
• Provide ongoing business performance updates, manage marketing promotions, and support marketing campaigns to boost bar visibility and revenue.
• Ensure knowledge and proficiency in all bar offerings, including spirits, wines, beers, menu items, and garnishes.
• Familiarize with hotel occupancy and guest demographics to tailor service accordingly.
• Use operational systems such as Micros, Open Table, and Knowcross efficiently.
• Uphold associates' adherence to company rules, grooming standards, and safety policies; lead by example with responsible managerial conduct.
• Build strong guest relationships, ensuring discretion and personalized service especially for SAGs customers.
• Mentor and develop bar associates, identify training needs, and conduct regular team meetings and communications.
• Handle administrative duties including scheduling, reporting, disciplinary actions, and department maintenance oversight.
• Organize regular team engagements and respond effectively to employee feedback surveys to drive improvements.
