Bakery Associate

Role Overview

As a Bakery Associate at Walmart Canada, you will have the opportunity to build valuable retail experience by providing exceptional customer service aligned with Walmart's core values. This role involves maintaining and organizing the bakery section, assisting with stocking, and supporting the sales process.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain high-quality and visually appealing bakery products including bread, cakes, pies, cookies, and rolls.
• Keep the bakery department fully stocked and prepared for operational hours.
• Ensure all bakery items are correctly signed and priced for customers.
• Comply with cold chain standards, including thermometer calibration, temperature monitoring, food rotation, and adherence to sell-by and expiration dates.
• Follow strict food safety, handling, sanitation, and cleaning protocols consistently.
• Manage ordering, clearance processes, price adjustments, and appropriate labeling such as marking, flagging, and signage.
• Properly prepare bakery products by following thawing and baking instructions to maintain quality and presentation standards.
• Ensure displays are arranged safely and securely to prevent accidents or product damage.

Compensation

The starting pay rate for this position is $16.45 per hour.

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
