Bakery Associate

Position Summary

Serving as a Bakery Associate at Walmart Canada offers a valuable opportunity to enhance your retail industry skills. This role focuses on delivering excellent customer service consistent with Walmart's core values, managing and organizing the bakery section, and supporting stocking and sales activities.

Main Responsibilities

• Maintain the quality and visual appeal of bakery products including bread, cakes, pies, cookies, and rolls.
• Keep the bakery department fully stocked and ready for customers at all times.
• Ensure all bakery items are properly labeled with accurate signs and prices.
• Follow strict guidelines related to cold chain management, including thermometer calibration, temperature monitoring, proper food handling, product rotation, and tracking sell-by and expiration dates.
• Comply with food safety, sanitation, and cleaning protocols consistently.
• Carry out correct procedures for ordering, clearance, pricing adjustments, and product labeling.
• Prepare bakery merchandise by adhering to specified thawing and baking instructions to preserve quality and appearance.
• Secure and arrange all bakery displays to meet safety and presentation standards.

Compensation

The starting hourly wage for this position is $18.05 CAD, with the equivalent rate stated in French as well.

Minimum Qualifications

• Applicants must be 16 years of age or older.
