About the Position

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain high standards of quality and presentation for bakery items including bread, cakes, pies, cookies, and rolls.
• Ensure the bakery department is consistently well-stocked and prepared for customers throughout the business day.
• Properly price and label all merchandise adhering to store policies.
• Strictly follow food safety protocols such as cold chain management, thermometer calibration, temperature documentation, and product rotation based on sell-by and expiration dates.
• Comply with sanitation, cleaning procedures, and safe food handling standards.
• Execute correct procedures for inventory ordering, clearances, price adjustments, and product labeling.
• Prepare bakery goods by accurately following thawing and baking instructions to maintain quality and appearance.
• Securely and safely arrange all bakery displays for customer accessibility and safety.

Compensation

The role offers a starting wage of $18.70 per hour.
