Role Overview

Join a leading cyber security technology company as a Backend Software Engineer specializing in TypeScript. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing and building backend services for the customer portal, contributing to innovative software solutions that defend organizations from advanced AI-powered cyber threats.

Work Environment

Work collaboratively within a dynamic engineering team located in Cambridge. The position involves spending two days a week at the Cambridge office, embracing a strong team culture with perks such as complimentary lunches and group problem-solving activities. The rest of the time is remote, allowing flexibility.

Core Responsibilities

  • Architect and implement backend services primarily utilizing TypeScript.
  • Participate in the full development lifecycle, translating rapid prototypes into reliable, production-grade software.
  • Engage in technical decision-making and take ownership of your deliverables.
  • Innovate continuously in a research and development driven environment.

Candidate Profile

  • Proven experience with backend development using TypeScript.
  • Familiarity with container orchestration platforms, especially Kubernetes.
  • Solid understanding of secure application development principles.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking capabilities.
  • Well-versed in software engineering best practices.
  • Knowledge of Python and/or Rust is advantageous but not mandatory.
