Position Overview

It is not a current open role but aims to pre-qualify promising individuals who can join 1inch promptly when new opportunities arise. Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and expand backend services and APIs powering 1inch's products and internal tools.
• Enhance scalability, reliability, ease of maintenance, and developer experience within backend systems.
• Design integrations with blockchain smart-contract platforms, data sources, and external services.
• Support monitoring, incident resolution, and post-incident analyses to ensure systems' robustness.
• Optimize performance, resilience, and operational efficiency of backend components.
• Collaborate effectively with product, blockchain, and infrastructure teams to build trustworthy distributed systems.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and uphold best engineering practices throughout development cycles.
• For senior roles: fully own backend services, influence technical direction, and provide guidance to fellow engineers.

Candidate Profile

• Proven experience developing and running backend systems in production-grade environments.
• Advanced skills in Golang, Typescript, or comparable backend languages, with a solid grasp of concurrency and performance optimization.
• Strong fundamentals in system design focusing on service architecture, data flow, reliability, and maintainability.
• Knowledgeable about blockchain technologies, smart contracts, transaction management, and on-chain integration.
• Experience with containerized deployments and contemporary delivery methodologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving qualities suited for dynamic tech settings.
• Ability to navigate trade-offs between technical excellence, scalability, and operational dependability.
• For senior candidates: substantial experience leading projects from inception to delivery and shaping architectural decisions.

Desirable Additional Skills

• Hands-on experience with multiple blockchain networks, including non-EVM based ecosystems.
• Exposure to on-chain data indexing, observability frameworks, or blockchain protocol diagnostics.
