RxTro is a leading healthcare technology company in Australia, connecting medical practices with industry partners for over a decade. Their platform serves every pharmaceutical company in Australia and over 2,000 medical specialists and allied health organizations, operating in Australia and Canada. Currently, RxTro is developing a new product: a guideline-driven patient recall platform designed to ensure clinics engage the right patients for appropriate care at the right time. To support this, a new engineering team is being established in India under RxTro India Incorporated.

Team Structure

The India team comprises five specialists including a Principal Engineer, Backend Engineer, Experience Engineer, Platform, Security and FinOps Engineer, and a Product Designer. The team collaborates closely with the founder in Sydney and Australian teams.

Work Approach

RxTro employs an AI-native engineering environment where AI agents assist by analyzing code, drafting implementation plans, writing code and tests, and reviewing changes. Critical decisions about product direction, guideline interpretation, architecture, and production deployment remain human-driven. Engineers focus on judgment, quality assurance, and outcomes.

Technology Stack

The stack includes C# and .NET, React, Microsoft Azure, Azure DevOps, GitHub and GitHub Actions, as well as AI tools like Claude and GitHub Copilot.

Working Conditions

• Remote position based in or near Hyderabad for in-person meetings when necessary.
• Aligned with Australian business hours (09:00–17:00 Sydney time) requiring early morning availability in India.
• Full-time role under RxTro India Incorporated.
• Work involves handling sensitive health data with a strong emphasis on privacy, security, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the core recall and opportunity engine determining patient care schedules.
• Implement and execute clinical guideline rules ensuring traceability and human approval.
• Build core backend services, APIs, and data contracts primarily using C# and .NET.
• Create integrations with clinic information systems and communication channels.
• Develop and manage patient identity and matching algorithms ensuring high accuracy to prevent miscommunication.
• Lead the creation of tests and validations with AI tools drafting code and test cases under your guidance.

Essential Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 years’ experience developing backend systems in production environments.
• Proficient in C# and modern .NET developments beyond just .NET Framework.
• Experience designing APIs and various system integrations, and familiarity with relational databases like Azure SQL or MySQL.
• Habitual practice of writing thoroughly tested, reliable code including contract and regression testing.
• Regular use and critical evaluation of AI-assisted coding tools such as Claude Code or GitHub Copilot.
• Strong understanding of confidentiality requirements for sensitive health information, ensuring data safety in all processes.

Preferred Experience

• Knowledge of rules engines, eligibility logic, or clinical/financial calculation processes.
• Exposure to healthcare data standards and integrations such as HL7 or FHIR.
• Experience with patient record matching or data quality enhancement efforts.
• Familiarity with Azure services like App Service, Azure Functions, and Service Bus.
