Role Overview

We are searching for a Backend Engineer to expand our AdTech platform. This position involves developing scalable, high-performance web applications and collaborating with diverse teams to serve millions of users effectively. The role offers a salary range between €80,000 and €140,000 annually, with equity options included.

Technical Stack

  • TypeScript, NodeJS, NestJS, Jest.
  • GraphQL, REST, gRPC, WebSockets.
  • MySQL, MongoDB, Redis, BigQuery.
  • RabbitMQ, Google Pub/Sub.
  • Docker, Kubernetes, GitLab CI/CD.
  • Datadog monitoring tools.

Key Responsibilities

  • Write clean, efficient, and scalable code using Node.js, Nest.js, and TypeScript.
  • Develop data-driven products by integrating external services for A/B testing and feature flag management.
  • Deliver reliable, testable code rapidly to ensure smooth operation.
  • Utilize AI tools such as Claude, Cursor, and Copilot for enhanced development productivity.

Candidate Requirements

  • Proven production experience with Node.js development.
  • Strong background in web application development.
  • Comprehension of designing scalable systems.
  • Experience with most of the mentioned technology stack.
  • Possess an ownership mindset for responsibilities.
  • Fluent English communication skills for effective teamwork.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with microservices architectures.
  • Knowledge of DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) methodologies.
