Back-end Software Developer - Java/Spring

Project Overview

We are looking for a seasoned Java Developer who also possesses expertise in DevOps and infrastructure to contribute to a Data Centre Migration initiative for a major banking client.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend Java applications and microservices architectures.
• Design and implement effective monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions.
• Ensure adherence to security best practices across all phases of software development and deployment.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve problems within development, testing, and production environments.
• Work collaboratively with fellow software developers, quality assurance analysts, and product teams to deliver robust software solutions.
• Keep abreast of evolving trends and best practices in Java development and DevOps disciplines.

Mandatory Qualifications and Skills

• At least 7 years of professional experience in software development.
• Strong proficiency in core Java backend development, especially with Microservices, Spring Boot framework, Collections, focusing on low latency, multithreading, and concurrency programming.
• Solid knowledge and practical experience with infrastructure and DevOps practices.
• Understanding of deployment methodologies and server-side code deployment.
• Experience managing server connectivity and administration.
• Basic skills in system resource management including RAM and CPU allocation.
• Familiarity with container technologies like Kubernetes and Podman.
• Experience developing pipelines and working with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes.
• Hands-on experience with major cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

Preferred Additional Skills

• Background in the banking sector or financial industry.
• Experience working on trading platforms or financial market systems.

Language Proficiency

English: Professional proficiency (C2 level).
