Job description
Job Overview
The role of B2 Avionics Technician requires ensuring excellent service support for maintenance and flight line tasks to maximize fleet availability while upholding the highest standards of quality and safety. Responsibilities include thorough inspection, repair, assembly, installation, scheduled and unscheduled maintenance of aircraft components and systems, as well as functional testing of these components. On-the-job training will be provided as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Adhere strictly to Aviation, Safety, Quality, and Export Control regulations and procedures.
- Follow Airbus Helicopters’ internal management systems, policies, and regulatory frameworks.
- Collaborate effectively as part of a team to carry out both scheduled and emergency maintenance on helicopter fleets within customer environments.
- Individually or collectively perform maintenance, repair, and inspection activities, ensure quality control and proper completion of related documentation.
- Prior to maintenance, inspect tools and ground support equipment for condition and expiry, ensuring their proper usage.
- Confirm the condition and appropriateness of components and parts before commencing maintenance activities, checking for damage or leaks.
- Execute electrical assembly, system integration and modification, system repairs, first-level quality inspections, and functional testing of aircraft and components.
- Diagnose and isolate faults in integrated avionics instruments and flight control systems.
- Perform inspections, repairs, overhauls, modifications, alignments, and installations of avionics instruments and flight control components.
- Maintain accurate and timely paperwork of all maintenance actions and sign off progress accordingly.
- Control and ensure correct usage of aircraft parts and materials.
- Update aircraft status regarding scheduled maintenance and deferred defects, confirm serviceability, and authorize Release to Service.
- Complete tasks assigned by the Site Manager promptly while meeting Airbus’s quality standards.
- Conduct on-the-job training and instruct personnel on maintenance manual usage and safety and foreign object debris (FOD) procedures.
- Perform other assigned duties as necessary.
- Possession of practical experience working with H215 (AS532 ALE) helicopter models is mandatory.
