Job description
Overview
We are looking for experienced B1.3 (Mechanical) Licensed Engineers to join our mobile support team serving the Africa and Middle East (AME) region. This role is field-based, providing frontline technical support to ensure the safety and operational readiness of heavy twin-engine helicopters operating in challenging environments.
Main Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks, troubleshoot, and repair defects on H225, Caracal, and Super Puma helicopter families.
- Deploy rapidly to customer locations for technical assistance, Aircraft On Ground (AOG) support, and specialized repairs.
- Certify all maintenance activities complying with EASA Part 145 standards or equivalent local aviation authority regulations and internal Quality Management Systems.
- Serve as a technical liaison to customer maintenance teams, ensuring continuous operational support.
- Uphold a safety-first mentality, ensuring all tools, components, and procedures meet stringent aviation standards.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Possession of a valid EASA Part 66 B1.3 license or equivalent certification.
- Current type ratings mandatory on H225 (EC225LP) and/or AS332 variants (L1, L2, C1).
- At least 5 years of practical maintenance experience on the specified helicopter models.
- Willingness and ability to travel frequently on short notice across Africa and the Middle East.
- Fluency in technical and spoken English; French language skills are advantageous for West African operations.
- Availability for short-term deployments across the designated regions.
Preferred Additional Qualifications
- Extra type ratings on other Airbus helicopters such as H145, H135, or AS365/H155.
- Experience working with military variants including Caracal and Cougar models and familiarity with mission-related equipment.
- Demonstrated ability to operate independently in remote or austere settings.
