Role Overview

This position involves acting as the organization's representative in various interactions with government agencies, regulatory authorities, and key external stakeholders to navigate policy, regulatory, and legislative changes affecting business goals and growth plans.

The incumbent will serve as the company ambassador, showcasing strong public and stakeholder relations skills, while maintaining high levels of personal discretion and professional integrity behind the scenes.

Key Responsibilities

• Advocate for and enhance the organization's reputation both internally and externally among industry peers, financial institutions, and governmental entities.
• Stay abreast of policy, legislative, and regulatory changes pertinent to the company’s strategic aims.
• Deliver insightful analysis on how these changes could impact the business to senior management.
• Establish and maintain meaningful connections with senior policymakers, regulators, and legislators.
• Plan and execute engagement strategies with regulators, policymakers, legislators, industry groups, and other significant stakeholders.
• Continuously identify and leverage opportunities to connect with public sector bodies and external parties.

Candidate Requirements

• A minimum of 15 years' experience in roles involving government relations, public policy, regulatory affairs, or stakeholder engagement.
• Comprehensive knowledge of public policy, regulatory environments, and legislative processes.
• Proven track record of professionalism, confidentiality, and ethical conduct.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication as well as public speaking skills.
• Strong analytical skills paired with a focus on achieving results through effective execution.
• Organizational savvy and political astuteness, including superior negotiation and relationship management abilities.
• Educational background with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in International Relations, International Trade & Finance, Economics, Business, Technology, Public Policy, or related fields.
