About the Role
Join a leading global logistics company in a vital role focused on ensuring the security of people, aircraft, facilities, and cargo. This permanent part-time position based at Stansted Air Gateway involves screening packages to identify and mitigate potential security threats by applying various technologies, procedures, and regulatory standards. Operating efficiently and meeting critical deadlines is essential to maintaining smooth operations.
What You Will Do
- Perform and verify daily checks on security equipment to ensure functionality.
- Protect the air cargo transportation network by monitoring package safety.
- Report any quality or process concerns promptly to supervisors for resolution.
- Oversee work environments to maintain security standards.
- Promote a culture of security awareness and compliance among all personnel.
Your Qualifications
- Basic competencies in reading, writing, and arithmetic.
- A genuine professional interest in safety and security matters.
- Completion of background and security clearance checks successfully.
- Pass a color vision test to confirm visual capabilities for the role.
- Strong judgment, decision-making ability, and effective communication skills.
- Attention to detail combined with diligence in task execution.
Benefits and Work Schedule
- Hourly wage of £13.00 with an additional premium of £2.86 for night shifts between 8 PM and 6 AM.
- Work shifts from Monday to Thursday 7:00 PM to 10:30 PM, and Friday 7:15 PM to 10:45 PM.
