Job Overview
This position involves working on a diverse fleet of rental vehicles where you will both actively engage in hands-on mechanical work and lead the daily operations of a small workshop team. You will be responsible for managing workflow, ensuring high workmanship standards, and maintaining vehicle quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Organize and oversee daily tasks for a small team within the workshop.
- Perform vehicle servicing, diagnose faults, and conduct mechanical repairs.
- Delegate jobs efficiently to maintain smooth workshop operations.
- Tackle complex mechanical issues and support less experienced team members.
- Uphold high standards for workmanship, safety, and repair quality.
- Manage workshop inventory and contribute to cost control measures.
- Ensure prompt vehicle repairs and timely return to fleet availability.
- Facilitate the development and upskilling of fellow workshop personnel.
Candidate Requirements
- Relevant automotive qualification.
- Minimum four years of experience in a workshop setting.
- Proficient in vehicle servicing, repairs, and diagnostics.
- Ability to organize and support a small team effectively.
- Strong communication and time-management capabilities.
- Comfortable balancing practical mechanical tasks with supervisory duties.
- Competent in using workshop management systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Valid full driver license.
