Job Overview

This position involves working on a diverse fleet of rental vehicles where you will both actively engage in hands-on mechanical work and lead the daily operations of a small workshop team. You will be responsible for managing workflow, ensuring high workmanship standards, and maintaining vehicle quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Organize and oversee daily tasks for a small team within the workshop.
• Perform vehicle servicing, diagnose faults, and conduct mechanical repairs.
• Delegate jobs efficiently to maintain smooth workshop operations.
• Tackle complex mechanical issues and support less experienced team members.
• Uphold high standards for workmanship, safety, and repair quality.
• Manage workshop inventory and contribute to cost control measures.
• Ensure prompt vehicle repairs and timely return to fleet availability.
• Facilitate the development and upskilling of fellow workshop personnel.

Candidate Requirements

• Relevant automotive qualification.
• Minimum four years of experience in a workshop setting.
• Proficient in vehicle servicing, repairs, and diagnostics.
• Ability to organize and support a small team effectively.
• Strong communication and time-management capabilities.
• Comfortable balancing practical mechanical tasks with supervisory duties.
• Competent in using workshop management systems and Microsoft Office applications.
• Valid full driver license.
