Technician - Vehicle Service and Repair

Position Summary

We are seeking a proficient and detail-focused Technician to join our Service team in Qatar. The role involves performing vehicle servicing and repairs adhering to dealership and manufacturer quality standards. The technician will ensure workmanship precision, technical accuracy, and maintain strong workshop productivity to deliver excellent customer service and contribute to revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform service and repair operations on customer vehicles in accordance with repair orders and workshop schedules.
• Accurately diagnose vehicle faults and complete repairs aligned with company and manufacturer standards.
• Identify and communicate any additional repair needs along with estimated costs to relevant parties.
• Maintain all technical documentation including check sheets and log sheets.
• Ensure proper care and maintenance of tools, equipment, and assigned work area.
• Meet workshop efficiency goals by completing jobs within allocated timeframes.
• Conduct final vehicle inspections to ensure repairs are performed correctly and avoid repeat work.
• Engage in training, assessments, and certification to stay updated on required skills.
• Adhere strictly to workshop safety protocols, appropriately use personal protective equipment, and report incidents promptly.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of 2 to 3 years' hands-on experience as a vehicle technician in an automotive dealership setting.
• Completed ITI or Diploma in Automobile Engineering.
• Solid understanding of vehicle servicing procedures, repair processes, and workshop operating standards.
• Proficient in using automotive tools, equipment, workshop manuals, and wiring diagrams.
• Valid driving skills with confidence in vehicle handling.
• Computer literacy for handling documentation and workshop management systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills with emphasis on 'fix it right the first time' approach.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high quality and productivity.
• High regard for safety protocols and maintaining an organized, clean workspace.

Team and Work Environment

Joining the Service Department, you will work under the supervision of the Service Supervisor in a team devoted to providing exceptional after-sales support. The environment promotes technical excellence, workshop productivity, and learning through ongoing training and development.
