Role Summary

This role calls for an adept and meticulous Technician to join the Service team in Qatar. Responsibilities include executing vehicle service and repair tasks consistent with dealership and manufacturer criteria, emphasizing high-quality workmanship, technical accuracy, and productivity. The Technician will ensure a 'right first-time' service delivery, contributing positively to workshop performance and profitability.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Perform vehicle service and repair following the repair orders and workshop timetable.
  • Diagnose mechanical faults with precision, ensuring repairs comply with company and manufacturer standards.
  • Identify additional repair needs, provide accurate cost estimates, and report accordingly.
  • Maintain all technical documentation such as checklists and log sheets.
  • Maintain and care for tools, equipment, and the assigned workspace.
  • Achieve workshop efficiency goals by completing jobs within designated timeframes.
  • Conduct thorough final vehicle inspections to minimize the need for repeat repairs.
  • Engage in all required training sessions, internal evaluations, and obtain necessary certifications.
  • Adhere to workshop safety protocols, correctly utilize personal protective equipment, and report incidents promptly.

Required Experience and Qualifications

  • Strong expertise in vehicle maintenance, repair, and fault diagnosis.
  • 2 to 3 years of experience as a Technician within an automotive dealership environment.
  • Educational background of ITI or Diploma in Automobile Engineering.
  • Knowledgeable in workshop procedures, standards, and operational policies.
  • Proficient in using automotive tools, equipment, workshop manuals, and wiring diagrams.

Team Environment

The Technician will collaborate within the Service Department, reporting to the Service Supervisor alongside a team devoted to delivering exceptional after-sales support and customer service. The team maintains high technical standards, strives for workshop efficiency, and encourages continuous professional development.

Candidate Profile

  • Practical experience servicing and repairing vehicles in a shop setting.
  • Familiarity with automotive components, repair workflows, and dealership service guidelines.
  • Valid driving abilities with confidence in handling client vehicles.
  • Dedicated, honest, and productive work ethic.
  • Commitment to completing internal evaluations and certification related to the role.
  • Basic computer skills for record-keeping and workshop systems.
  • Ability to operate effectively under pressure, maintaining high standards of quality and productivity.
  • Strong problem-solving aptitude focused on first-time fixes.
  • Awareness of and compliance with safety requirements along with maintaining a tidy, organized workspace.
