AutoCAD Draughtsman

Job Overview

We are looking for a meticulous AutoCAD Draughtsman responsible for producing accurate technical blueprints, models, and layout drawings. This role involves close coordination with engineers, architects, and project supervisors to convert initial sketches and concepts into practical designs. A strong command of AutoCAD, along with knowledge of structural or mechanical design principles and relevant standards, is essential.

Key Duties

• Develop detailed 2D technical drawings, blueprint plans, floor layouts, and 3D structural or surface models leveraging AutoCAD software.
• Collaborate with engineering and architectural teams plus construction managers to understand and translate raw sketches and project specifications.
• Revise and update existing schematics in response to client feedback, architectural alterations, or site-imposed limitations.
• Ensure all drawings comply strictly with company guidelines, material specifications, and applicable building and safety regulations.
• Systematically organize and maintain an accessible archive of drawing files, project documentation, and manuals for future use.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Technical Expertise

• Advanced proficiency in Autodesk AutoCAD; experience with additional design platforms such as SolidWorks, Revit, or Civil 3D is advantageous.
• Solid background in mathematical concepts including geometry, algebra, and physics to undertake precise dimensional computations.
• Proficient in interpreting and analyzing complex engineering and architectural schematics and drawings.
