Role Overview

The Auto Body Detailer is responsible for preparing vehicles through thorough cleaning and detailing before and after repairs. This role also involves maintaining cleanliness and organization within the repair facility and parking areas, ensuring operational excellence and customer satisfaction by helping meet key performance indicators.

Key Responsibilities

• Hand-clean vehicle exteriors using brushes and washing equipment
• Polish and dry vehicle windshields, windows, lights, mats, and outer surfaces
• Apply protective waxes and buff to preserve vehicle appearance
• Vacuum and shampoo interiors, remove some stains, and add air fresheners
• Keep the shop clean by sweeping floors and emptying trash containers daily
• Maintain an orderly and clean parking lot, including vehicle organization, keys, floor mats, and repair order signs
• Use power wash to clean the shop floor to reduce dirt visibility as necessary
• Consistently implement the WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan to meet shop standards and contribute positively to the Net Promoter Score (NPS)

Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to multitask and perform well under fast-paced, high-pressure environments
• Physical ability to bend, crouch, reach, handle tools, and lift over 50 pounds
• Possession of a valid driver’s license
