About the Role
An established and visionary accountancy firm located in Milton Keynes is searching for a seasoned Audit Director who desires to move beyond executing others' strategies and start shaping their own. This role offers a unique opportunity to guide strategy, influence company culture, and progress on a clear trajectory towards becoming a Responsible Individual (RI) and potentially a partner within the firm.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate intimately with senior partners to assist in crafting the firm's strategic direction and enhance sustainable profitability.
- Lead audit assignments for major and publicly listed clients, effectively combining direct involvement with leadership responsibilities.
- Develop and nurture a cohesive team culture that promotes inclusivity, resilience, and enjoyment in the workplace.
- Gradually assume RI duties, taking ownership of client relationships and overall outcomes instead of merely managing them.
- Engage actively in the firm's succession planning initiatives as it continues its growth trajectory.
Candidate Profile
- Extensive experience approaching or at the level of Audit Director within a mid-tier or larger accounting organization.
- Demonstrated history of managing portfolios comprising large and listed clients.
- Strong commercial mindset with an ownership approach beyond technical expertise.
- Proven leadership abilities focused on team building and staff development on par with task delivery.
- Possession of RI status or a clearly defined path to obtaining it is a notable advantage.
Compensation and Benefits
- Competitive salary estimated between A390,000 and A3110,000, commensurate with experience, plus bonus opportunities.
