Internal Auditor

About the Role

Fad International is looking for a skilled Mid-Level Internal Auditor to assist in executing the sanctioned internal audit plan. The role involves engagement planning, evaluating risks and controls, conducting tests of controls, and supporting audit activities to ensure compliance and effective risk management.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct internal audit assignments as per the approved plan and under guidance of the Head of Internal Audit.
• Participate in planning audit engagements, including defining scope, assessing risks, selecting samples, and identifying sources of evidence.
• Carry out process walkthroughs and controls testing; meticulously document findings with clear working papers.
• Evaluate adherence to company policies, regulatory requirements, and internal controls.
• Assist in drafting audit findings and reports, and monitor progress of corrective actions.
• Support the Head of Internal Audit with preparing and revising risk registers as well as risk and control assessments.
• Perform site visits to stores and other operational locations as required.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related discipline.
• Between 2 and 4 years experience in internal audit, external audit, risk management, or compliance functions.
• Proficient in risk identification, risk evaluation, updating risk registers, and assessing controls.
• Familiarity with audit frameworks such as IPPF, GIAS 2024, and COSO.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Office suite for preparing working papers and analyzing data.
• Fluent professional proficiency in Arabic and English, both written and verbal.
• Saudi national.
• Willingness to undertake travel to retail stores or operational sites when necessary.

Preferred Experience and Certifications

• Exposure to risk and control self-assessments or participation in Enterprise Risk Management initiatives.
• Experience with audits in retail, multi-location operations, consumer businesses, or store audits.
• Professional certifications such as CIA, SOCPA, CPA, or CRMA are advantageous but not mandatory.
