Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Audiologist registered or registering with NZAS based in Invercargill, supporting clients across Southland clinics, including travel to rural locations. Graduates will also be considered. The role involves adult hearing rehabilitation with a strong focus on client outcomes and community engagement.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform extensive hearing assessments and diagnose hearing impairments using various audiological methods.
• Provide evidence-based rehabilitation options empowering clients to make informed hearing health decisions.
• Recommend and fit diverse hearing devices customized to clients’ needs and lifestyles.
• Establish and maintain strong client relationships through ongoing support and care.
• Represent Audiology South in community events and lead business development activities.
• Develop and sustain referral connections with healthcare providers such as GPs and ENT specialists.
• Travel regularly throughout Southland to deliver care at smaller rural clinics and ensure accessibility for local populations.

Candidate Profile

• Current or soon-to-be NZAS registered Audiologist.
• Demonstrated experience in adult hearing rehabilitation and hearing aid services.
• Client-centered approach with dedication to best practice in hearing healthcare.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for relationship building.
• Comfort with frequent travel across the Otago region.
• Collaborative attitude and commitment to ongoing professional development and learning.
