Overview

Key duties include managing and zoning the meat department, participating in stocking and selling merchandise, and ensuring overall product quality and presentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage zoning within the meat department effectively.
• Rotate stock regularly and inspect products to ensure they are not past expiration.
• Ensure merchandise pricing is accurately displayed.
• Adhere strictly to cold chain compliance standards, including thermometer calibration, temperature recording, proper food handling, product rotation, sales deadlines, and expiry dates.
• Take and fulfill orders for deli items, slice and prepare meats, cheeses, and fried chicken, providing customer assistance as needed.
• Follow proper procedures for ordering, clearance, markdowns, pricing, labeling, and displaying products.
• Prepare deli, meat, and cheese orders employing slicers and other equipment; prepare chicken using rotisserie ovens and fryers; assemble salads and side dishes for display; and accommodate special customer requests.
• Abide by all health and safety guidelines.

Additional Information

The starting hourly wage for this position is $19.05.

Minimum Requirements

• Must be aged 16 years or older.
