Overview
This full-time role is ideal for individuals who enjoy assisting others, take pride in guiding customers towards suitable project solutions, and are eager to expand their knowledge. Primary Duties
- Stock merchandise on shelves to maintain full inventory levels.
- Unload pallets and place products on shelves following given instructions.
- Display new products and promotional items attractively.
- Keep aisles clean, ensuring merchandise is accessible and presented appealingly.
- Arrange and organize upper shelving, such as aligning products.
- Communicate effectively with other material handling team members to correctly store products.
- Follow Home Depot's customer service model: greet customers, build rapport, and thank them.
- Ask open-ended questions about customers' projects to understand their expertise and needs.
- Safely transfer merchandise between temporary storage areas and shelves using relevant equipment.
- Ensure customer pathways are safe and unobstructed in the aisles.
- Adhere strictly to all safety and loss prevention policies and procedures.

Physical and Work Conditions

- Ability to climb ladders up to 3.5 to 5 meters (12 to 16 feet) to retrieve or store merchandise.
- Variable schedules including night, evening, and weekend shifts.
- Work environment may include dust, noise, exposure to gas fumes from forklifts, and temperature fluctuations due to frequently opened doors.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One to two years of retail or distribution experience is advantageous.
- Experience operating order picker or reach and fork trucks is beneficial but not mandatory.
Additional Information
The salary for this position ranges between 20.40 and 22.15 CAD per hour.
