Job description
Job Overview and Responsibilities
This position involves the skilled preparation and processing of raw materials used in manufacturing according to company and regulatory standards. The role requires mixing chemical solutions, conducting valve treatment procedures with appropriate fixtures and measurements, packaging finished products, preparing them for sterilization, and escalating machine operation issues as necessary. The Associate Valve Treatment Operator will operate equipment supported by computerized systems such as EGR and semi-automatic machines. Routine self-inspection of outputs is essential to ensure quality, including performing minor adjustments in machine setup and tool placement.
Following established work instructions and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) is mandatory. This includes recording traceable data on device history and entering information into systems such as JDE. The role may occasionally involve revision checks of documentation.
Qualifications and Experience
The preferred educational background is a High School diploma or equivalent. Previous experience with similar machinery is required to ensure competency in operating various manufacturing equipment and fixtures involved in this process.
Skills and Additional Requirements
- Strong communication abilities and proficiency in reading, understanding, and speaking English.
- Basic computer skills, including familiarity with JDE and RFSMART software.
- Fundamental understanding of manufacturing procedures and adherence to Edwards Lifesciences Environmental Health and Safety and Quality guidelines, particularly in medical device production.
- High level of attention to detail and the capability to complete and apply training coursework effectively for both new and advanced tasks.
- Commitment to company policies such as pandemic protocols and Environmental Health & Safety measures, ensuring personal and workplace safety as well as environmental protection.
- Team-oriented mindset, working collaboratively with colleagues and supervisors, and the ability to give and receive constructive feedback in sequential work reviews.
