Position Overview

The Associate Security Specialist supports the daily operations of the Security Operations Center (SOC) at AMP-2 by monitoring security systems such as CCTV, access control, and alarms, handling emergency and non-emergency calls, evaluating incidents, and coordinating appropriate responses. This role is vital in ensuring incident escalation, precise documentation, clear communication with field teams and stakeholders, and adherence to SOC protocols to maintain a secure operating environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Report directly to the SOC Security Specialist and execute assigned operational tasks according to established procedures at AMP-2.
• Continuously observe CCTV, access control, alarm, and other security platforms, and promptly escalate any abnormal situations.
• Receive and evaluate emergency and routine reports, document findings, and communicate effectively following escalation protocols.
• Maintain detailed incident logs, activity records, emergency documentation, and operational reports.
• Prepare thorough incident and shift handover reports for management review.
• Coordinate communication efforts among field security personnel, internal departments, emergency responders, and external stakeholders during both routine and emergency events affecting AMP-2.
• Monitor operational status of security-related equipment and report any malfunctions immediately.
• Maintain emergency contact information, operational records, and documentation to ensure business continuity.
• Gather, verify, and relay operational data supporting incident management and emergency coordination.
• Support emergency response initiatives by sustaining clear communication and providing timely updates.
• Respond promptly and professionally to requests from both field personnel and internal teams.
• Adhere to emergency response plans, crisis protocols, and SOC Standard Operating Procedures relevant to AMP-2.
• Identify, document, and report security incidents, operational concerns, equipment failures, and vulnerabilities in a timely fashion.
• Protect the confidentiality of sensitive security information, investigations, and operational activities.
• Exhibit professionalism, accountability, teamwork, and effective communication while advancing SOC objectives.
• Carry out additional operational duties as assigned by SOC leadership.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills suitable for varying levels of personnel.
• Dependable and punctual with the ability to support shift-based SOC operations reliably.
• Proficient knowledge of emergency communication tools, CCTV monitoring, access control, alarm systems, and SOC best practices within a manufacturing context.
• Capability to stay calm and efficient under pressure.
• Strong skills in preparing accurate reports, incident logs, and other documentation.
• Able to collaborate effectively with security teams, internal departments, and external emergency agencies.
• High integrity and confidentiality when managing sensitive security data.
• Competent in following instructions, procedures, and escalation processes precisely.
• Proficient with computer operations related to data entry, electronic reporting, and SOC systems.
• Associate degree and at least 6 years of relevant experience.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in Emergency Services, Dispatch, SOC operations, or related fields.
• Preferred APCO certifications such as Public Safety Telecommunicator, Fire Service Communications, or Emergency Medical Dispatch.
• Experience and qualifications in CCTV monitoring is advantageous.
• Familiarity with regulations, policies, and general manufacturing plant operations.
• Fluent in both Arabic and English, with strong oral and written communication skills in both languages.
• Experience in private security, SOC operations, or emergency dispatch preferred.
