Associate Product Owner (m/f/d)

About the Role

We are seeking a full-time Associate Product Owner based in Berlin who will closely collaborate with the Product Manager to bridge the gap between conceptual ideas and completed features. This role centers on defining clear and actionable product specifications, acceptance criteria, managing dependencies, and maintaining an accurate backlog to ensure feature delivery aligns with expectations. You will be fully responsible for writing and managing your tickets without receiving pre-assigned tasks.

The Challenge

Large enterprises face numerous costly operational issues, many of which startups have already addressed. GlassDollar OS simplifies and systematizes the process of integrating startup solutions with corporate needs by sourcing startups, matching them to real problems, overseeing pilot programs, and scaling successful initiatives. The features you prioritize this month will directly influence our clients' capabilities in the next quarter.

What You’ll Do

• Convert validated opportunities into well-scoped, sequenced, and estimable work items with clear specifications, acceptance criteria, edge cases, and dependency management.
• Manage and groom the backlog, providing prioritization insights to maintain transparency and control over in-progress and blocked tasks.
• Serve as a liaison between customer feedback (support threads, customer service dialogues, call notes) and the engineering team.
• Coordinate release activities and verify deliverables against original scopes.
• Communicate product decisions effectively to diverse stakeholders including engineers and enterprise clients.

Areas of Focus Over the First Year

• Develop deep integrations with customer organizations including their systems, data, and identity stacks to evolve GlassDollar into vital infrastructure.
• Define and support public REST APIs and MCP servers that enable customers' engineers and AI agents to build on top of our platform.
• Embed AI features throughout the product to enhance user workflows.
• Automate workflows within the platform to replace manual, multi-meeting processes with streamlined operations.

Qualifications and Personal Attributes

• Minimum three years of experience in a product company where you were directly responsible for writing tickets and scoping work.
• Strong technical understanding sufficient to interpret data models, API contracts, and provide accurate estimations.
• Proven ability to produce well-written and actionable product specifications or decision documents; submission of work samples will be required.
• Excellent design sensibility and a keen sense for user experience, including the ability to create visual prototypes using AI tools.
• Experience working in small teams where direct accountability for product outcomes is expected.
• Open to rigorous coaching with frequent, constructive feedback aimed at rapid growth.
• Proficient daily user of AI tools with evidence of integrating them into your workflow.
• A strong desire to expand your scope of responsibility, potentially owning significant initiatives and roadmap decisions.

Additional Preferences

• Background in B2B enterprise SaaS environments.
• Familiarity with venture clienting, corporate innovation, or startup scouting processes.
• Proficiency with Notion or similar productivity tools.

Additional Information
