Associate Product Owner

Position Overview

We are seeking an Associate Product Owner to join GlassDollar in Berlin full-time. This crucial role bridges the gap between ideation and delivering a finalized feature. The Associate Product Owner owns the entire process: defining specifications, acceptance criteria, managing dependencies, and maintaining a backlog that ensures clarity and commitment to what will be built. You will craft your own work tickets and closely collaborate with engineers and product managers.

GlassDollar OS is a venture clienting platform designed to connect large corporations with startup solutions addressing their operational challenges, facilitating discovery, pilot management, and scaling innovations across enterprise organizations. Your scoping decisions directly influence what these customers can implement in future quarters.

Key Responsibilities

• Translate validated business opportunities into clearly scoped, prioritized, and estimable work items including detailed specs, acceptance conditions, edge cases, and dependencies.
• Manage the product backlog by grooming, prioritizing, and ensuring transparency of progress, including identifying blocks or scope drifts.
• Act as the conduit between customer insights (support tickets, client service interactions, calls) and the engineering team's workload.
• Coordinate releases and verify that delivered products align with the original specifications.
• Communicate product decisions effectively to diverse stakeholders, including engineers and enterprise clients.

Year One Focus Areas

• Integrations deeply embedded in customer systems, data, and identity infrastructure, transforming GlassDollar into core enterprise infrastructure.
• Developing and specifying public REST APIs and MCP servers to enable customers and their AI agents to build upon our platform.
• Embedding AI functionalities across the product to enhance user interaction.
• Automating workflows within the platform to streamline traditionally complex, manual business processes.

Candidate Profile

• At least 3 years experience working as a Product Manager, Technical Product Manager, or Delivery Lead in a product-driven company, with personal responsibility for writing detailed tickets and specifications.
• Technical acumen sufficient to understand data models, API contracts, and perform estimations, capable of constructively challenging engineering teams.
• Strong written communication skills demonstrated through clear, actionable product specs or documents exhibiting sound reasoning.
• A keen design sense and ability to prototype visual solutions, ideally employing AI tools to illustrate concepts.
• Experience in small company environments with direct accountability for product outcomes and a willingness to receive frequent constructive feedback aimed at rapid development.
• Comfort and fluency using AI-based productivity tools as part of daily work processes.

Desirable Extras

• Background in B2B enterprise SaaS products.
• Knowledge or experience with venture clienting, corporate innovation, or startup scouting workflows.
• Proficiency with Notion or similar collaborative tools.

Work Arrangement and Hiring Process

This role is onsite in Berlin with relocation options available. Remote work possible after onboarding, with a strong preference for in-person collaboration initially.
