About the Role

This opportunity is for a Senior Analyst in Confirmations, focused on the financial markets sector, with locations in Mumbai and Pune, Maharashtra, India. The work shifts are aligned with APAC (6 AM to 3 PM IST), EMEA (1 PM to 10 PM IST), or NAM (6:30 PM to 3:30 PM IST). Candidates should have a bachelor's degree such as B.Com, BBM, or equivalent, with 3 to 5 years of overall experience including 2 to 3 years in managing teams of 5-6 members, particularly in Confirmations and Reconciliation activities.

Responsibilities

The incumbent will lead a team responsible for meeting KPIs and SLAs defined by the process. The role includes acting as the primary contact for clients on BAU queries and escalations, driving process improvements to enhance capacity and scalability. Additionally, it involves executing process functions, coordinating with Middle Office and counterparties on various OTC financial products, supporting managers with daily operational challenges, and serving as the process Subject Matter Expert (SME). The role demands independent client management, handling escalations, mentoring associates, setting performance goals, leading training efforts, sharing best practices for knowledge management, and collaborating with business partners in talent acquisition, quality assurance, and compliance.

Key Skills and Knowledge

The role demands comprehensive understanding of confirmation tasks including indexing, affirmations, drafting, incoming reviews, matching, and chasing. Familiarity with regulatory guidelines such as CFTC and EMIR is needed. Experience with electronic confirmation platforms like Markitwire and DTCC is essential. Knowledge of financial products including Fixed Income, Credit Default Swaps (CDS), Interest Rate Swaps (IRS), Equity Swaps, Equity Options, FX Forwards and Options, Commodities, NDFs, and Accumulators is required.

Applicants must demonstrate the ability to work under pressure, manage multiple deadlines, communicate effectively with global counterparts, and operate within cross-cultural and time-zone diverse teams. Strong numerical aptitude to analyze data and derive insights is important. The candidate should be self-driven, organized, detail-oriented, flexible, motivated, quick in decision-making during critical situations, and possess excellent problem-solving skills and teamwork capabilities. Hands-on experience with basic and advanced Excel functionalities is expected. Prior experience with offshoring processes and business methodologies is favorable.
