Associate or Associate Director Landscape Architect / Landscape Planner - Midlands

About the Role

Join a dynamic Landscape & Urban Design team based in Birmingham, Shrewsbury, or Nottingham as an Associate or Associate Director Landscape Architect or Landscape Planner. Become part of a dedicated group that values integrity, creativity, and professional collaboration across the UK and Ireland.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute actively to a highly motivated and ambitious team environment.
• Lead and coordinate Landscape and Visual Impact Appraisals and Assessments as a Landscape Planner.
• Manage design projects across all LI/RIBA stages including urban realm and mixed-use developments, typically using BIM level 2 systems as a Landscape Architect.
• Support and develop relationships with existing clients and cultivate new ones in both public and private sectors.
• Prepare bids ranging from small to complex multidisciplinary projects.
• Supervise and delegate project tasks to junior team members.
• Engage in client-facing activities such as providing design guidance, leading workshops, and facilitating stakeholder events.
• Participate in internal multidisciplinary groups to foster innovation, excellence, and thought leadership.

Qualifications and Skills

• Degree in Landscape Architecture or an internationally recognized equivalent.
• Postgraduate Diploma or Master's degree in Landscape Architecture or similar qualification.
• Proven experience in authoring Landscape and Visual Impact Appraisals and Assessments.
• Demonstrated success delivering landscape and urban design projects from site analysis through to detailed design and planning documentation.
• Proficiency in Autodesk or Bentley software along with Adobe Creative Suite.
• Fluent in English with excellent verbal, written, and graphic communication abilities.
