Position Overview
The Associate Director - Contracts, located onsite at our Riyadh headquarters, plays a crucial leadership role overseeing contractual and commercial functions across Saudi Arabia's Raytheon programs and activities. Reporting to the Contracts Director for the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), this position ensures contract integrity, compliance with regulations, and effective customer engagement to support successful program delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise contract and commercial operations across RSA projects and pursuits.
- Oversee the full contract lifecycle, including negotiations, reviews, contract administration, amendments, and compliance monitoring.
- Collaborate with program and business leaders regarding contractual risks, proposal development, pricing analyses, and strategic business decisions.
- Act as the principal liaison with the Saudi Ministry of Defense, government agencies, and strategic partners for contractual matters.
- Manage customer correspondence and ensure clear, efficient communication with all internal and external stakeholders.
- Enforce adherence to Raytheon policies, client requirements, and relevant regulatory standards.
- Support governance processes such as audits, risk assessments, and initiatives for continual process improvement.
- Direct translation services to support contractual, technical, and business documentation.
- Contribute to localization efforts, industrial participation programs, strategic growth initiatives, and overall business operations management.
- Recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing contracts and translation team based in Riyadh and Jeddah.
Essential Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent professional credentials with a minimum of 12 years in contracts, commercial management, legal, compliance, or program support capacities.
- Experience within defense, aerospace, government sectors, or other highly regulated industries.
- Proven capability managing complex contracts and leading contract negotiations.
- Experience working directly with government clients and senior stakeholders.
- Demonstrated leadership skills in team development and mentorship.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship management abilities.
- Capacity to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, international context.
- Solid business insight related to profitability, risk control, and cash flow management.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced professional qualifications in contracts, law, commercial management, finance, or business.
- Prior work experience in Saudi Arabia or the Middle East region.
- Familiarity with Saudi government procurement procedures and regulatory frameworks.
- Experience supporting defense programs, including Foreign Military Sales (FMS) or government contract environments.
- Knowledge of localization strategies, industrial participation, and forming strategic partnerships.
- Experience overseeing governance, compliance, or translation functions.
- Background in program management.
