Role Overview

As an Associate in Corporate Risk & Analysis (R&A) within our Institutional division, you will manage the comprehensive credit approval, review, and monitoring processes efficiently and effectively. This position is integral to promoting sound operational, compliance, conduct, and reputational risk practices. Collaborating closely with the Relationship Team, you will support our corporate clients and help grow their banking relationships.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Assist relationship teams in handling and expanding institutional client portfolios spanning multiple products, divisions, and regions.
• Foster strong client connections to thoroughly understand their business goals and banking requirements.
• Work collaboratively with internal teams to ensure excellent client service and enhance the overall experience.
• Provide detailed counterparty, industry, and financial analyses to support informed decision-making and client strategies.
• Maintain a well-governed portfolio ensuring compliance with operational and regulatory standards.
• Identify, evaluate, and escalate risks as necessary, bolstering robust first-line risk management.
• Partner with colleagues across Relationship, Risk, and Product divisions to deliver integrated client solutions.
• Effectively communicate commercial drivers, risks, and mitigating factors within your analyses and recommendations.
• Contribute to business objectives through streamlined processes, accurate reporting, and diligent portfolio management.
• Develop strong stakeholder relationships and actively pursue coaching, feedback, and professional development.
• Champion a culture of collaboration, accountability, and ongoing improvement within Corporate Relationships.

Candidate Profile

• Demonstrated experience in banking and financial services.
• Strong skills in credit analysis and financial evaluation.
• Background in credit risk management; exposure to other risk areas is advantageous.
• Capability in conceptual and critical thinking to assess complex business and risk environments.
• Understanding of credit, market, and operational risks across clients, products, and territories.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills focused on identifying key risks, mitigations, and commercial considerations.
• Effective stakeholder management and communication skills for building productive working relationships.
• A proactive and cooperative mindset dedicated to achieving strong customer and business results.
