Role Overview

We seek an Assistant Tax Manager to join our expanding Dublin office, responsible for overseeing Irish R&D tax claims and compliance operations. This role carries significant responsibility, guaranteeing the accuracy and timely submission of claims and acting as the primary liaison for clients. Autonomy and growth potential come with the position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess R&D expenditure to verify adherence to relevant tax laws.
  • Calculate benefits applicable to each client's claim.
  • Coordinate submission instructions with clients and their accountants.
  • Engage with clients and accountants to facilitate smooth submission processes to tax authorities.
  • Manage pre-notification paperwork ensuring accurate, timely form submission.
  • Follow up and oversee CT1 submissions alongside related compliance tasks.
  • Provide expert guidance to clients on technical tax-related queries as their trusted contact.

Candidate Profile

  • Holds ATT or CTA professional qualifications.
  • Experience at the Assistant Manager, Manager, or senior associate level prepared to advance.
  • Background in tax compliance, preferably with exposure to R&D tax relief.
  • Exceptional attention to detail ensuring high accuracy in all work outputs.
  • Strong organizational skills to efficiently handle high volumes of tasks and meet deadlines consistently.
  • Confidence in engaging directly with clients and their accounting representatives.
