Role Overview

The Assistant Store Manager will play a key role in cultivating an inclusive, positive workplace that delivers memorable customer experiences. This role involves motivating and mentoring staff to consistently create exceptional service moments, while adapting to the lively pace and continuous changes within the retail setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Enhance store performance by driving sales, managing costs, and overseeing operations including merchandising, inventory control, customer service, cash office procedures, scheduling, shipping, and receiving, with focus on reducing shrinkage and damage.
• Recruit, train, and develop Associates, serving as a mentor and ambassador to build a supportive and engaging team environment.
• Execute company projects and initiatives by communicating and acting on plans, contributing to succession planning and aligning with strategic goals.
• Implement strategies to achieve sales, expense, and service objectives; coordinate loss prevention and operational effectiveness improvements; and optimize store layout and processes.

Candidate Profile

• At least two years’ experience in retail leadership roles such as Assistant Store Manager or Store Manager.
• Proven ability to lead large teams with an empowering and developmental approach.
• Strong organizational and communication skills enabling effective feedback, influence, and mentorship.
• Well-versed in store operations, customer service excellence, merchandising, team management, health and safety standards, and loss prevention practices, with strong follow-through to ensure project success.

Compensation

The anticipated salary range is between $48,592 and $68,029 annually, with actual pay dependent on skills, qualifications, and experience. This range represents the hiring guideline and may not cover the entire compensation spectrum for the job.
