Role Overview

We are seeking a passionate Assistant Store Manager who cultivates an inclusive and encouraging store culture. You will lead and inspire your team to create memorable customer experiences. This role offers a dynamic, fast-paced work environment presenting exciting challenges and growth prospects.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

• Driving store success by managing sales performance, controlling expenses, and overseeing store operations such as merchandising, backroom, frontline staff, cash office, customer service, markdown execution, scheduling, shipping, and receiving, with an emphasis on minimizing shrinkage and damages.
• Attracting, hiring, and developing exceptional talent by delivering comprehensive training and ongoing associate development. Serving as a mentor and example to foster an engaging and supportive atmosphere for Associates and customers alike.
• Effectively communicating and executing action plans related to projects, sales targets, company initiatives, and store changes while contributing to succession planning for future leadership needs.
• Implementing strategies to achieve sales, expense, and customer service goals, coordinating loss prevention efforts, enhancing operational programs, and optimizing store layout and efficiency.

Candidate Profile

• At least two years in retail leadership roles such as Assistant or Store Manager.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to develop and empower a sizable team.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and mentorship capabilities to influence and provide constructive feedback.
• Proficiency in store operations management, customer service, merchandising, people management, health and safety practices, and loss prevention, with a solid track record of following through on initiatives.

Location and Compensation

Position located at 355 Hespeler Rd Unit 0006, Marshalls Store 0791, Cambridge, Ontario.

Salary range: $48,592.50 to $68,029.50 per year. Actual pay may vary based on qualifications, skills, and experience and could exceed this range.
