About the Role

We are actively seeking a motivated and energetic Assistant Store Manager to join a fast-expanding discount retail company located in Newmarket, Ontario. This role demands a hands-on leader with experience managing retail teams in high-volume, dynamic environments. As an Assistant Store Manager, you will be instrumental in driving store success through excellent merchandising practices, inventory oversight, and guiding your team to meet operational goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily store activities with an emphasis on effective inventory replenishment and appealing merchandising.
• Lead, inspire, and manage retail staff to achieve performance and productivity objectives.
• Ensure the visual presentation in-store is top-notch along with optimal stock availability.
• Prioritize tasks efficiently to meet the demanding pace of the retail environment.
• Facilitate smooth operational processes contributing to the store's business growth.

Qualifications & Requirements

• At least five years of retail experience, including a minimum of two years in a supervisory capacity.
• Proven skills in merchandising and inventory control.
• Willingness and ability to work varied shifts including days, evenings, and weekends.
• Capability to handle physically intensive work regularly.
• Successful clearance of a criminal background check.
