Role Summary

The Assistant Restaurant Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring team collaboration to provide excellent service and fulfill guest expectations. Responsibilities include supervising employee grooming and attire, managing opening and closing procedures, organizing storage areas utilizing FIFO principles, conducting inventories, replenishing supplies, overseeing dining room seating and guest safety, and coordinating maintenance tasks.

Key Responsibilities

• Support management with recruitment, staff training, scheduling, performance evaluation, counseling, discipline, motivation, and coaching to cultivate a high-performing team.
• Serve as a role model and first point of contact for the Fair Treatment/Open Door Policy.
• Comply strictly with company safety and security protocols; report any incidents or hazards promptly and complete all required safety training.
• Maintain professional appearance and confidentiality while safeguarding company assets.
• Greet and engage guests warmly, proactively addressing service needs including assistance for guests with disabilities.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with guests and colleagues.
• Foster positive working relationships and teamwork, actively listening and responding to employee concerns.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards and actively identify, suggest, and drive improvements in efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, and cost savings.
• Perform visual inspections of tools, equipment, and surroundings for safety and quality assurance.
• Engage physically in job duties including standing, sitting, walking for long periods, lifting items up to 50 pounds, maneuvering in confined spaces, and using fine motor skills.
• Carry out additional reasonable duties as assigned by supervisors.

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum education of a high school diploma or equivalent G.E.D.
• At least two years in a related work environment.
• A minimum of one year in a supervisory role.
• No specific licenses or certifications are required.
