About the Role
Join Panda Express as an Assistant Manager and become part of a leading restaurant group dedicated to developing its associates both professionally and personally. As an Assistant Manager, you will support the operation of one store, overseeing hiring, managing employees, and driving the store to meet financial targets while ensuring outstanding guest service. To prepare you for success, a comprehensive leadership training program lasting three or more weeks is provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in managing daily store operations and leading the team.
- Recruit, hire, and direct associates to meet performance goals.
- Ensure excellent customer experiences and store success.
- Participate actively in leadership training and ongoing development.
Desired Qualifications and Experience
- Completion of high school diploma is required.
- Flexibility to relocate within a 50-mile radius if necessary.
- Ability to work varied schedules including opening, closing, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed by business demands.
- Hold a current Food Safety Serve Safe certification.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements
The role requires working in hot, fast-paced kitchens with exposure to steam and food vapors. Associates are expected to stand for extended periods, prepare hot and cold foods, use kitchen tools like Chinese cook knives safely, and lift up to 50 pounds. Employees must adapt quickly to changing priorities, communicate effectively, and manage conflict professionally.
