About the Role
The Student and Academic Services Department (SASD) at Nanyang Technological University provides comprehensive support throughout the student lifecycle, from admission to graduation and beyond. Within SASD, the Student Affairs Office (SAO) contributes significantly by enhancing student life through leadership programs, residential life, community engagement, and arts and sports activities.
The Assistant Manager will assist in managing university-level leadership development initiatives, conduct training sessions for student development staff, and foster communities of excellence for student growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Team Lead in executing and improving multi-tiered university leadership development programs including thematic trainings, experiential learning, leadership dialogues, and coaching structures.
- Oversee leadership programs geared towards high-potential student leaders such as Impactful Leadership, Peer Mentoring, Singapore Young Leaders Programme.
- Coordinate the NTU Student Ambassador Programme by handling administrative tasks and foundational training for nominated ambassadors across various Schools and Offices.
- Aid in the selection, training, and deployment of NTU Global Ambassadors for prominent university events and engagements.
- Contribute to designing learning and development initiatives aimed at enhancing Student Development Professionals' skills, undertake needs analysis and impact evaluation, and collaborate with external training partners to refine programs.
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with 3 to 5 years relevant work experience in youth leadership development; experience in tertiary education is advantageous.
- Strong pedagogical knowledge with experience in creating and facilitating engaging learning experiences.
- Highly skilled in planning, organizing, and delivering complex initiatives to a high standard.
- Demonstrates passion and dedication towards student development.
- Experience in managing large-scale projects effectively.
- Proven ability to manage and work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders.
