About the Role

Join ALH Hotels as an Assistant Manager in South Australia, playing a key role in ensuring venues remain lively and well-loved by the community. This is a hands-on position requiring physical tasks such as moving stock, kegs, and deliveries, so physical capability is essential.

Responsibilities

• Build genuine rapport with local patrons, becoming a familiar and trusted member of the venue team.
• Support the Publican by overseeing smooth, safe, and welcoming operations within the pub.
• Lead and manage a team of hospitality professionals while gaining experience to progress to a Publican role.
• Address and resolve operational challenges proactively to prevent issues.
• Consistently bring enthusiasm, excellent service, and a positive atmosphere during each shift.

About You

• Experience in bar, bistro, or gaming environments, with some supervisory background.
• Learned from skilled managers and eager to take on greater leadership responsibilities.
• Confident in representing the venue and leading in the absence of senior management.
• Holding current RSA and RSG/RCG certifications compliant with state regulations.
