About the Role

This role is focused on providing administrative support for various disability subsidy schemes, ensuring smooth operations and assisting persons with disabilities and their caregivers. The team facilitates subsidy delivery, disability verifications, and accessibility aids to empower beneficiaries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in a specialized team responsible for supporting scheme applications from persons with disabilities.
  • Offer customer service and guidance to caregivers, persons with disabilities, stakeholders, and the general public.
  • Lead end-to-end operational management of assigned schemes, including process review, IT system deployment, and vendor management strategies.
  • Mentor and supervise team members by actively distributing work assignments to maximize team productivity and well-being.
  • Ensure strict adherence to internal policies and ministry regulations governing scheme operations.
  • Oversee application processing, managing complex or significant cases with senior-level discretion.
  • Maintain daily scheme operations, regularly monitoring performance metrics and implementing corrective measures to achieve service standards.
  • Handle escalations and resolve arising issues promptly and effectively.
  • Respond to phone and email inquiries related to assigned schemes.
  • Organize proper filing and archiving systems to maintain audit readiness and efficient document management.
  • Provide meeting coordination and documentation support.
  • Lead project initiatives aimed at enhancing the sector’s capability, collaborating with Social Service Agencies and government or private partners to optimize service delivery and productivity.
  • Engage and influence diverse stakeholders to ensure commitment and successful partnerships.
  • Identify and scope productivity projects by conducting research, environmental scans, and site visits to address sector needs.
  • Analyze operational data to generate insightful reports for senior management and ministry briefings, monitoring trends to anticipate risks or suggest policy reviews.
  • Undertake additional tasks as assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Possess a degree or diploma in any discipline with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in team leadership or staff supervision is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Word and Excel.
  • Excellent verbal, written communication, and interpersonal skills to foster strong relationships across all organizational levels.
  • Energetic with a strong dedication to client service.
  • Analytical thinker with problem-solving abilities and focus on deliverables.
  • Capable of managing multiple projects efficiently and excelling under pressure in a dynamic environment.
  • Organized, meticulous, and able to handle competing priorities within deadlines.
  • Collaborative team player proactive in sharing knowledge and supporting colleagues.
