Job description
Position Overview
We are seeking an Assistant Manager Rewards to lead and support initiatives in Total Rewards, Compensation & Benefits, and compensation analytics. This role involves managing compensation benchmarking, salary structure development, pay equity analysis, incentive program administration, and data-driven decision-making related to employee rewards.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in creating and executing Total Rewards strategies in alignment with organizational and talent goals.
- Design and regularly update compensation structures, including salary bands and pay scales.
- Perform compensation position analysis, recommending necessary salary adjustments.
- Conduct comp ratio studies to detect pay discrepancies and ensure fairness.
- Support pay equity evaluations across various functions, grades, and employee groups.
- Analyze internal and external compensation information to guide reward strategies.
- Lead market compensation benchmarking by utilizing salary surveys and external market data from providers like Mercer, WTW, and Radford.
- Monitor compensation market trends and advise on competitive salary ranges.
- Support job evaluation, sizing, and grading activities applying methodologies such as Hay Method and Mercer IPE.
- Maintain job architecture and compensation frameworks reflecting internal equity.
- Manage variable pay and incentive program design and administration, including performance and payout analysis.
- Develop financial models to assess compensation program costs and effectiveness.
- Assist in compensation planning cycles, including incentives and annual reviews.
- Support executive compensation analysis and manage equity-based reward programs like ESOPs and RSUs.
- Create and maintain advanced Excel models and dashboards for compensation data, forecasting, and business insights.
- Collaborate with multiple stakeholders including HR business partners, leadership teams, finance, payroll, and external compensation consultants.
Qualifications and Experience
- 4 to 7 years of experience in Total Rewards, Compensation & Benefits, or Rewards Analytics.
- Expertise in compensation benchmarking using industry salary surveys.
- Familiarity with compensation databases such as Mercer, WTW, and Radford.
- Knowledge of job evaluation methods like Hay or Mercer IPE.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel for financial and compensation modeling.
- Consulting background in Rewards/Compensation is advantageous.
Skills and Competencies
- Strong analytical capability with experience in financial modeling and data forecasting.
- Ability to translate complex compensation data into actionable business recommendations.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills for working with diverse stakeholders.
