About the Role

Key Responsibilities
As an Assistant Manager, you will support the day-to-day operation of a single Panda Express location. Your duties encompass hiring, supervising, managing, and directing staff to meet both financial goals and to ensure that each guest receives an outstanding dining experience. Your leadership will be crucial in driving store success, backed by a structured leadership training program lasting three or more weeks to prepare you thoroughly.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- High school diploma mandatory
- Willingness to relocate or transfer to another Panda Express store within a 50-mile radius
- Availability to work flexible schedules, including opening and closing shifts, evenings, weekends, and holidays depending on business needs
- Current Serve Safe Food Safety certification
Work Environment and Physical Requirements
The work environment involves fast-paced, high-temperature kitchen areas where you must stand for extended periods. Tasks include handling hot and cold foods, operating kitchen tools like Chinese cook knives, lifting up to 50 pounds, and managing elevated storage spaces. Effective communication and the ability to adapt to fluctuating priorities and resolve conflicts are essential for success.

Compensation Details
Hourly wage ranges from $26.50 to $29.50, determined based on location and experience. Bonus programs are offered but not guaranteed and may be altered or abolished at the company’s discretion.
