About the Role

Join Panda Express as an Assistant Manager and take a key role in leading the operations of a single restaurant location. You will oversee hiring, directing, and managing the team to meet financial targets while ensuring guests receive outstanding service. To prepare you for success, Panda provides more than three weeks of paid leadership training along with continuous mentorship and support from experienced colleagues.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in managing daily store operations.
  • Recruit, train, and lead store associates.
  • Drive achievement of financial goals.
  • Deliver exceptional guest experiences consistent with Panda Express standards.
  • Operate the restaurant in compliance with company policies and standards.

Desired Skills & Requirements

  • High school diploma is a mandatory qualification.
  • Flexibility to relocate within 50 miles of current residence if required.
  • Availability to work variable hours, including opening and closing shifts, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on operational needs.
  • Certification in Food Safety (Serve Safe) is required.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

Typical workplace conditions include standing for long durations, exposure to heat, noise, and steam in kitchen areas, frequent handling of hot and cold foods, and use of kitchen tools like Chinese cook knives. Employees must be capable of lifting up to 50 pounds, standing continuously for up to four hours, and reaching across counters approximately 36 inches. The fast-paced environment demands strong verbal communication, adaptability, and conflict resolution skills.
