Temasek Laboratories@NTU (TL@NTU) conducts advanced scientific research and develops key technologies aimed at strengthening Singapore's defence and security. TL@NTU operates as part of Singapore's defence technology network, alongside DSO National Laboratories, Defence Science and Technology Agency (DSTA), Temasek Laboratories at NUS and SUTD, as well as the local defence industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the secure and effective daily functioning of the COFT facility.
• Conduct routine maintenance and ensure cleanliness and orderliness of the facility.
• Diagnose and resolve technical problems as they arise.
• Coordinate with vendors, manufacturers, and university departments regarding procurement, repairs, and compliance matters.
• Arrange and monitor scheduling and availability of equipment among various users and projects.
• Deliver technical and administrative assistance to both internal personnel and authorized external users.
• Manage inventory control and handle procurement of consumables and replacement parts.
• Provide support for fiber fabrication processes.
• Keep accurate records and reports to meet operational and safety requirements.
• Assist in the installation, commissioning, and removal of facility apparatus.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Possess a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science; advanced qualifications are a plus.
• At least three years of work experience in process engineering within industries such as semiconductor, chemical, or glass manufacturing.
• Extensive familiarity with handling chemicals and specialty gases.
• Basic understanding of optical fiber fabrication is beneficial.
