Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Assistant Laundry Manager to join the household leadership team at The Ned Doha. This role requires overseeing the laundry department's daily operations, ensuring top-tier quality, efficiency, and service levels. The successful candidate will support the Laundry Manager in boosting department performance, resource management, and delivering exquisite service to enhance guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all daily laundry operations ensuring smooth functionality.
• Enhance department productivity while upholding high-quality standards for linens, uniforms, guest laundry, and specialty items.
• Coach and develop the laundry team, promoting accountability and continuous improvement.
• Assist with recruitment, onboarding, training, performance reviews, and succession planning.
• Monitor departmental KPIs and quality control processes to identify improvement areas.
• Ensure maintenance and best use of laundry equipment and facilities.
• Oversee inventory management including chemical and supply usage to control costs and reduce waste.
• Collaborate with Housekeeping, Rooms Division, and others to guarantee operational excellence.
• Contribute to budget preparation, forecasting, and financial management.
• Ensure adherence to all health, safety, hygiene, and environmental standards.
• Exemplify Forbes Five-Star service and operational excellence in all activities.

Candidate Profile

• Previous supervisory or managerial experience in luxury hotel laundry services is mandatory.
• Sound knowledge of commercial laundry operations, fabric care, textile management, and laundry technologies.
• Proven leader with skills in motivating and guiding teams.
• Strong business insight with experience in budgeting, cost control, and performance analysis.
• Excellent organizational, planning, and decision-making capabilities.
• Competency in managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced luxury hospitality environment.
• Effective communicator with excellent interpersonal skills for cross-departmental collaboration.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and hotel management software systems.
• Detail-focused with a commitment to quality, efficiency, and guest satisfaction.
• A proactive, hands-on leadership approach dedicated to continuous improvement and operational excellence.
